Frequently Asked Questions
Updated information for Thousands of venues looking to book independent musicians. We remove venues that have closed down and add venues not yet listed. These occur each year
Top Left Booking is the fastest way for musicians to find venues in their area, book national tours, and secure gigs anywhere in the United States. (A lot like google maps, but for music booking!)
Bands, solo musicians, managers, & independent booking agents. Rock, Punk, Hardcore, Hip Hop, Acoustic, Songwriters, DJs, Blues, Pop, Cover bands, or any other music genre!
Artists negotiate their own payments with the venues and promoters. This $ amount can be anything an artist and venue agree upon together. That could be a door %, donation based, a flat guarantee with a % of doors, a % of the bar, or something else. These are just some possible payment scenarios because every show is different.
We are the only platform connecting musicians to venues on an interactive map. You can locate venues in real time, based on your location, customize routings, get directions, reach out for show bookings, and so much more, all in just a few clicks!
Never. You keep 100% of each and every show.
Not at all, in fact, you probably already know how to use it! If you’ve used Google Maps, you have used Top Left Booking. Just instead of typing “McDonald’s,” you might search “Venue,” “Boston,” “College,” or maybe “All Ages.”
Music Venues, Festivals, Nightclubs, Colleges (maybe yours!), Coffee Shops, Bars, Theatres, Breweries, Wineries, Restaurants, Promoters, or anywhere else you can land a gig!
Never. Plans are monthly or yearly. You can cancel at any time.
Nope! We have performance spaces for anyone. Whether you are performing solo sets, duos, trios, larger groups or full bands.
Paypal, Stripe, VISA, Mastercard, American Express.
Less than 4% of our resources are pay-to-play. Listen, we don’t like the idea of pay-to-play either, so we made this a huge focus when building Top Left.
Every 3 months we do a full system update. We remove venues that have closed down and add venues not yet listed. These occur each year on: January 1, April 1, July 1, October 1.
We don’t recommend it. Promoter and venue owners prefer links 99% of the time. Usually, if they want attachments, they will specify so under their booking requirements.
